Homes 4 Wounded Heroes

Michigan based Orlans Associates, P.C. and eTitle, has partnered with The Military Warriors Support Foundation and its principal partners to provide mortgage-free homes to the nation’s wounded veterans. Orlans is a long supporter of this program through its membership in The National Firm, LLC, a consortium of law firms that serves as the advisor between financial institutions and Homes4WoundedHeroes. The Military Warriors Support Foundation, a non-for profit based in San Antonio, TX, is the sponsor of the Homes 4 Wounded Heroes program, a renowned national military charity focused on placing eligible veterans and their families in their own home.

The program is a national philanthropic campaign, with a strong focus on injured veterans and their families, where bank-owned homes across the country are renovated and awarded to service members who were wounded in Operation Enduring Freedom or Operation Iraqi Freedom. Through a carefully crafted mentoring program, eligible veterans receive three years of family counseling and financial skills training, a program requirement seen as key to the program’s success. Upon successful completion of the program the veteran receives the property deed, mortgage-free.

“I am proud to say that after awarding over 300 homes, our success rate of keeping our heroes in their homes has been nearly 100%,” said retired 3-star General Leroy Sisco, Military Warriors Support Foundation CEO. “We want to expand program participation and award 300 more homes this year alone.”

“At Orlans Associates, we strive to instill a culture of giving back to the community,“ said Orlans, “We are delighted to be able to support the Home 4 Wounded Heroes program and demonstrate our appreciation to our wounded veterans and their families.”

In addition to Orlans Associates’ role in supporting Home4WoundedHeroes, Orlans-owned eTitle Agency provides title and closing services to help streamline and administrate the closing process for the organization and the veterans.

“We are proud to support this organization, and thank all our veterans for the sacrifices they have made to uphold our freedom,” said Orlans Associates CEO Linda Orlans. “We want to see more Michigan veterans take advantage of this opportunity to obtain a home for their families — this is a charitable model for change that has proven to be extremely effective.”
