Orlans Group Adopts Families for the Holiday Season

Orlans Group team members wrapped up a year of charitable efforts by helping local families from all over Metro Detroit.
GoodDeedsA team of employees known as the Good Deeds Committee worked hard all year fundraising with the goal of adopting families for the holiday season. Such fundraising events included Valentine’s Day Flower Sales, Taco Tuesday, Ice Cream Day and a Books and Bake Sale, which were open to employees for purchase with all proceeds going to the cause. After all of the team’s hard work, Linda Orlans graciously offered to match all donations for a total of over $3,600. With such a generous amount, the Orlans Group, partnering with Beyond Basics, was able to adopt 2 families in the Detroit area for Christmas. In addition, they also went above and beyond to adopt the entire Pediatric Floor at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, MI for the children residing there through the holiday.

After wish lists were made for the Beyond Basics families and the Pediatric Floor, multiple teams from the Good Deeds committee set out on a mission to fulfill as many requests as possible. When shopping was completed, the gifts were wrapped and personally delivered to each organization to distribute to the appropriate recipients.
